World AIDS day

For a second consecutive year BFPA supports and participates in the European HIV testing week http://www.hivtestingweek.eu/. This year other organizations from Bulgaria also are joining the initiative. The Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association is the only Bulgarian partner of the Week that is marked with asterisk on the webpage of the initiative since it is one of the so-called “Early initiative convenors” which support it before Oct 15 2014. BFPA is one of the VCT centres and this makes the association one of the NGO partners of the Ministry of Health’s National Programme for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control – http://aidsprogram.bg/index.php. At the end of 2015 the Global Fund for Fighting AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria will cease to finance AIDS-related activities in Bulgaria and this puts an end to VCT. 
Despite that we at BFPA are looking for ways and means to continue so we can keep the slogan:
“WE WILL MAINTAIN OUR DIRECTION AND CONTINUE ON OUR PATH”
