BFPA supports the eighth “Valya Krushkina – Journalism for the people” awards

The winners were selected by an 11-member jury, consisting of: Vladimir Yonchev (Offnews), Kalin Purvanov (Barricade), Mariya Cherneva (BNT), Nikolina Dimitrova (Bulgaria ON AIR), Oleg Popov (Nova TV), Petyo Tzekov (Sega newspaper), Prolet Velkova (Darik radio), Rosen Tzvetkov (bTV), Silvia Velikova (BNR, Horizont program), Stoyana Georgieva (Mediapool), Tatyana Vaksberg (Radio Free Europe).
The jury selected the award winners among 114 materials by 65 journalists, who were nominated for this year’s awards.
The “Valia Krushkina – Journalizm for the people” awards are given annually since 2012 and decorate journalists with an active position that they stand in the name of ordinary people. Through the years the competition has made a name for itself within and outside the media world. In the previous 7 competitions more than 350 journalists with over 700 articles and videos have been nominated.
